Vallelunga Ascanio Bino
The cabal of the Pergole Torte

Reggio Emilia, Laboratorio F.lli Manfredi Edizioni, 2024, 4th, pag. 32, eight short stories by ASCANIO BINO VALLELUNGA plus one by FEDERICA PARRETTI, lead text in Spectrum font by Jan van Krimpen, Amatruda di Amalfi handmade paper, hard cover in Malik paper with dust jacket in Pergamino paper, heavy cardboard publishing case, with six unpublished etchings by ALBERTO MANFREDI and six of his labels for LE PERGOLE TORTE by Montevertine, wire bound, edition of 42 numbered copies.

Manfredi's extremely refined flowing line engravings were engraved for SERGIO MANETTI, who would have liked to accompany them with a collection of Montevertine grappa. The painful death of both protagonists of the partnership meant that they remained unpublished. Vallelunga's delightful stories, about the "miracles" that the exquisite Pergole Torte would be able to bring about, have resurrected, with the endorsement of Martino Manetti, now a worthy successor to his father, these works, packaged in our penultimate edition of '24. On the final front page, a QR collects news, photographs and links from the protagonists of this demanding editorial undertaking.
