The lost conscience

Reggio Emilia, Mavida, 2011, in-folio (cm. 50x35), pp. 30, in free sheets on ivory Magnani hand-made paper, texts composed and hand-printed in Magister font, with seven original etchings by Isabella Branella, of which five in drypoint and soft wax and two colored linocuts, all full page and signed in pencil by the artist, all collected within the Ariele cardboard cover and editorial case. Edition of 30 numbered copies in Arabic numerals plus XX in Roman numerals with two of the engravings repeated on free sheet. The translation of this splendid tale by Saltykov-Scedrin is the 'classic' one by Ettore Lo Gatto.
