To celebrate the 80th birthday of our dear friend Romano Bilenchi, we had created a first plaquette, with the tale "Evening on the river" by Silvio D'Arzo, an author that Bilenchi particularly loved, having it illustrated by Gianni Stefanon. The entire edition of 50 copies was donated by Bilenchi to friends. After his death, we continued for some years to make a plaquette in his memory and with the same intent: to have it as a tribute to his and our friends. And every year we increased the edition by a number, to remember the age that the missing friend would have completed. The texts were composed in linotype and printed by us on our hand presses, on heavy hand paper from Pescia and paper Roma for the cover. Very few examples of these plaquettes remain. The title of the series refers to an almanac edited by us and published in 1985 by Prandi, to the realization of which Bilenchi's contribution had been fundamental (and he himself had suggested that title).
